PROVIDENCE — On June 27, the Trump administration announced that it will

terminate legal protection for Haitian migrants, setting them up for potential

deportation in September, including more than 1,000 in Rhode Island.

Bernard Georges, founder and executive director of New Bridges for Haitian

Success, based in Providence, spoke to the Globe about that decision, and what it
